District Courts and the Lawyers who use them

District

Each United States district court also has a federally owned building where its courtrooms, chambers and clerk’s offices are located.  Many federal judicial districts are further divided into divisions, which may also have their own courthouses, although sometimes the smaller divisional court facilities are located in buildings that also house other agencies or offices of the United States government.  Only a District Attorney can persecute a felony.  Many county courthouses built in this time period had intersecting halls on the first floor that created the rigidity required to support the weight of the district courtroom positioned near the middle of the building on the second floor.  A Judge at the district level has to be immune to the influence and controls by a Lawyer.  He can complete this threat only with the cooperation of Judges in County Court and District Court.

Building

All types of cases, from chicken thievery and the selling of moonshine, to high profile murder cases have been heard in the Historic Courthouse building.  This building once hosted traveling judges, heard fervent appeals from small town Attorneys and housed the occasional bad guy.  The now-unknown architect had designed the building on a geometrical scheme.  Actual construction of the building began in July of 1889.  Although Osceola County has built a new and larger Courthouse building, the third floor courtroom in the Historic Courthouse building will still be used as an active courtroom, allowing Osceola County to continue to claim the honor of having the oldest Courthouse still in use in the State of Florida.  For example, atop the octagonal wooden cupola, the weather vane’s height from the ground equaled the building’s length.  Confederates used building as a hospital after the Battle of Williamsburg.  In 1911, fire gutted the building, but left the walls standing.  In 1928, Colonial Williamsburg secured rights to the building, but local government used the property until 1932, when it closed for restoration.  In the interest of recreating the building’s 18th-century appearance, the portico’s columns were removed.  The clock bell is no longer allowed to ring as the vibration causes damage to the deteriorating tower and building.  But the building has been sadly neglected and allowed to fall into disrepair.

Law

Lawyers advise the Board of Directors what is legal when it helps the lawyers to receive payment for legal fees without approval by the Board of Directors.  Lawyers have to be allowed to lie in court with their witnesses to make a living.  Lawyers will represent their clients up to the point it could affect the lawyers future incomes from this system.  There are laws on our books that need to be enforced while the fence is being built.  When government officials fail to enforce laws passed they are traitors to our county.
